| Okay!! So most of you already know, but I'm working at the Western division's camp this year as a counselor.. Am I excited?!?!? Yes!!! very much so!! Nervous... yes that too!!! But it seems like we don't all get along like last year's staff.. and I'm longing for that!!! There's been so much drama so far and I'm beginning to think.... Why did I give up EVERYTHING to come here?!? There's even been times I just want to go lay down and cry!! And times I just want to pack up all my things and leave.. but if you could please pray for me and the rest of the camp staff.. there's a total of i believe 33 of us this year.. cits and all ... for strength .. guidance.. love... faith.. all that jizzy jazz... I WOULD TOTALLY APPRECIATE IT.. AND SO WOULD THE REST OF THEM!!! o.. and it's been really hot.. so pray that we won't get heat exhaustion.. like i did on sunday.. at the zoo!! LOVE IN CHRIST.. Okay, So, I'm finlly home.. took 12 hours from des plaines to des moines.. on i-80.. it took 2 hours to go 12 miles.. 191 cars in the ditch..3 semis .. 1 tiny cute u-hall and 1 tralier.... it was tiring! i got pics of my weekend up on www.myspace.com/flindquist06 nd on my facebook... and i still hvae about 20-30 pics to upload from the way home.. talk to you later.... write more later | | |
| Hey! Well, this week is officer's councils and therefore, I've taken on the responsibility of watching Captain Dani's cat.. Rodeo.. and well he was being all lovey dovey towards me last nite..and next thing i know.. HE BIT ME!! that punk! then i woke up at 4AM.. to him gruntin at the sound of 2 cats outside whining or somethinhg.. it scared me! but i do have to say he's such a trip and at the sam time.. im exicted to be his "mother" for the week. i hope Capt. | Can I just tell you how much friends mean to me? They are there for all kinds of support.. no matter how far they are from me. Even if it's just prayer. I APPRECIATE MY FRIENDS... and all my friends.. know who u r! 5 Things to Pray for: 1.) My Father- he was supposed to have a stint put into his kidney on Friday..they went in to do that..and noticed the blockage has gone away!.. Praise God 2.) My corps 3.) My family--on the 1st of Feburary its going to be 2 years since the passing of my Grandmother Nellie. Boy o boy--do i ever so miss her!!! 4.) reGeneration Conference Feburary 15-17 5.) | Okay, so it's not really a road trip, I'm going to see my surgeon today, in Ames, but we do have to travel about 45 miles for this. So yea, This past week has been very interesting, On Wednesday--we went to the ARC.. and had a very splendid time, (I thought). We then were on our way home, and we stopped to get gas in Ankeny, and It was amazing... God really does listen to us.. Angie was just speaking of how she should call her dad, being so close and all, and next thing we know, Angie spots her dad pumping gas and we stop to talk to him. We then went to the Family Christian Bookstore..I ABSOLUTLY love that place.. then some of us went to Kohl's while 3 of us stayed in the van with Nick and Angie while she ran to get some hommade salsa from her dad's ohuse... last nite.. on the National Geographic channel.. the show LockDown.. was about the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility last nite.. so Captain Dani, Captain Billie-Jo and I went to Cheryl's to watch it... cuz we don't have cable!
